   Not-So-Normal People

   Funny how people judge people who are quite different.

   Different in a sense that they do not follow the so-called “norms”,

   They do not take regular salaries at the end of the month,

   They are not wearing fancy clothing inside a bus

   just to go inside a cubicle, answer calls or write an errand and

   continue to freeze there for more than eight hours,

   And then go home,

   Get stuck in a traffic first,

   Eat a lousy dinner,

   And go straight to bed as early as they can so they won’t miss the bus tomorrow morning— A so-called normal life of a so-called normal person.

   Lifeless monotonous life of low-life “normal” person,

   Flat, boring.

   While on the next room, a so-called “different” man is holding his pillow,

   Still sleeping at ten in the morning and smiling.

   He can get up whenever he wants,

   for he doesn’t need to catch a bus or freeze up inside a cubicle.

   All he has to do is wake up,

   Drink his cup of coffee,

   Stare at the ceiling,

   Play his favourite music,

   Think of things to do—paint, write,draw,cook,dance, whatever.

   If he’s lucky enough he’ll eventually sell his works,

   Or get paid for a project,

   And just groove with the music playing on the background.

   He could either cook for dinner

   Or meet some friends,

   Eat and chat,

   Get a drink,

   Stay up late,

   Laugh and catch up.

   Go home, and tomorrow morning,

   a different thing to explore—say travel or visit a relative.

   A lively life of a not-so-normal person.

   Exciting, fun, round.

   National Geographic Channel have created a real-life version of the animated film Up — launching a house thousands of metres into the air using balloons.

   A team of scientists, engineers, and two world-class balloon pilots successfully launched a 16’ X 16’ (≈5x5m) house 18’ (5.4m) tall with 8’ (2.4m) coloured weather balloons from a private airfield east of Los Angeles, and set a new world record for the largest balloon cluster flight ever attempted.

   Three-Hundred Sixty Five Days…or more…

   Things are a lot different now

   Signs stopped.

   Dreaming faded.

   Hope— toned down

   Happiness is there, but once in a while

   simple happiness is missed

   Is this really how it goes?

   Though new things were discovered

   genuine laughters were found

   harmonious conversations were shared

   and colorful souls are met

   Still… A fragment of simplicity is longed for

   Even the moon will never know

   how long it may last

   or how often the sun will hide 

   when painful rain falls

   For as long as the wind can

   whisper music to thy ears

   days will roll

   until signs unfold to thee

   dreams are shared with thee

   and sound of hope linger to thy ears

   days will roll…

   three-hundred sixty five days… or more…
